Location

Poland is fascinating country that serves as the geographical and cultural crossroads of eastern and eastern and western Europe. It’s the sevenths largest country on the continent and became a member of the European Union in 2004. The population is over 38,5 milion people. The climate is temperate with summer temperatures ranging between 20°- 30° C. Winter temperatures range between 5°C and -10°C with snow covering the ground from December though to March in most areas.

Lublin City

Lublin is the biggest city in the eastern part of Poland and the 9th largest overall, it’s economy revolves mainly around the service industry with higher education institutions being the main contributors. Lublin is known as the city of youth as it accommodate over 100 000 students (35%of the population) during the academic year and has a large and ever increasing foreign student population. The city provides a variety of student facilities, cultural centres, theatres and cinema; it also celebrates a wide range of festivals, music concerts and artistic exhibitions. The huge number of student help support a vibrant cultural and entertainment scene. The old town area in the heart of Lublin is crowed every weekend with people enjoying a night out. Lublin has a good variety of cafes, restaurants and shopping centres to enjoy.
