Following completion of the bachelor degree, students have the opportunity to continue to develop their knowledge and skills on the 2-year full-time International Tourism MA degree programme. This allows students to specialise in their chosen areas of interest.
Students have the opportunity to choose one of two interesting specialities: International Hospitality Management or International Tourism Management. They gain the abilities of solving common problems that managers and other tourism professionals are likely to face at their work. Students also develop academic, decision making and critical evaluation skills. Apart from theoretical issues, there is also a practical focus on the managerial and strategic issues in tourism, which belongs to the most rapidly developing branches in the world economy.
Practical trainings play an important role in preparing students to meet the requirements of the job market. That is why, there are various placement opportunities available locally, nationally and internationally. Practical training settings in Lublin include the Europa Hotel and the Grand Hotel, whereas international settings include hotels and holiday resorts in such countries as Greece or Spain.
A graduate is prepared to work in economic units and institutions which require the application of marketing, statistics, and information technology tools. The career paths are quite varied, thanks to the interesting modules of studies, including international cooperation in hotel management, IT in hospitality management, new technologies in food industry, strategies in hospitality management, advertising of tourist product, IT in tourism management, active tourism, and strategies in tourism management.
